Overview

The Training Operations Manager (TOM) is responsible for the development, management, and support of NTT instructors and subject matter experts. The TOM maintains a daily understanding of sales related opportunities and ever changing industry needs while supporting NTT growth through successful training delivery. The position is also responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of NTT hands-on training equipment (hardware) and student course materials (including print, digital, and software formats).

Responsibilities

Management of all NTT instructor teaching and training responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Course delivery standards (ensuring that NTT courses are delivered consistently the NTT way.)
  • Responsible for day to day communication with and development of NTT instructors.
  • Writing and implementing the NTT instructor guide and standards requirement and ensuring instructors are complying with these standards.

Management of all NTT course material development, requirements and tools necessary to teach and deliver NTT courses, including, but not limited to:

  • All printed and digital course materials, including course design and delivery
  • All online course materials within NTT's "SkillCircuit" online system, ensuring consistency between online training, instructor lead classroom training, print and digital materials, and the use of any and all NTT training aids such as the training equipment used for classroom hands on portions of the class.
  • Development of new learning and delivery tools, such as digital simulations, use of tablets and other digital devices in the classroom, and classroom design.

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors of Science in Business, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Training and development experience preferred.
  • Five years of proven experience plus in operations and troubleshooting required.
  • Prior management experience with a skilled trade or manufacturing workforce.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • Technical sales experience a plus.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent teamwork and team leadership skills.
  • Detail oriented and skilled in championing complex operational planning and strategies with others.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus.
  • Ability to meet or exceed established personal performance goals.
